This is a storyboard animatic that I was working on in early fall of 2021, when I was first learning about storyboarding itself. I wanted to practice what I had learned so far but I was having a hard time coming up with my own story. I’m not a writer. I then realized I should just ask my friend Kelly Hopson, who’s already a great writer. Maybe she has some short stories lying around that I could practice turning into a cinematic. She then gives me this hilarious story about a girl who now has a “friend” she wishes she never met.
This is only part 1 and I’ve been wanting to go back and complete the rest of the story before I shared it publicly. But since today is Kelly’s birthday I felt it’s about time I put this out there, at least to celebrate Kelly’s amazing storytelling skills and also her fantastic voice acting. It was so much fun collaborating with her and I hope to work on part 2 later this year. The story just gets crazier from here.
