New Book Published: Fine Healing Cuisine

A new book is out! Self-published by Betty Davis and written by her daughter Summer Davis, this is a children's short-story/poem about a strange neighborwho comes to help a sick friend with a special stew.

Illustrating this book was a great experience in a couple of ways. First, this story is meant to be humorous. For me, that's challenging because most of my work tends to be realist and serious. So it was fun pushing my work to have a humorous element while not getting too cartoony.

The second creative aspect of this project is that we introduced a goose character through the illustrations only. In other words, the text is telling one story and the illustrations are telling a complimentary story. This goose has no idea what he's getting himself into.

Waking Lion Series

Saw this lion at the Syracuse Zoo, NY. Inspired me to do a series focusing on its epic-ness.

Destroy the Stained Glass Monster

My painting for Riverside Confession's latest album "Destroying the Stained Glass Monster." Released by New Vine Media

The concept is a David & Goliath scenario except goliath is colossal monster made completely out of stained glass.

Figuring out how to paint stained glass was the first challenge. Then trying to paint it in a three dimensional form was an even bigger challenge.

With this I hope I can catch the eye of bigger clients in NYC and climb up the very steep ladder of the illustration career. I don't know how many shares & likes that'll take, but please pass this along!

Thanks for dropping by!
